Area dogs, and guests, are invited to attend the Village of Orland Park’s first annual Pawdemonium in the Park on August 19 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the DogOut Dog Park.  The dog park is within the village’s Centennial Park, located at 15600 West Avenue. Guests should proceed to the end of Fun Drive and turn left to find the entrance to the dog park.

“Those familiar with the village’s popular Pandemonium in the Park event may enjoy allowing their furry friends to enjoy a similar experience,” said Trustee and Recreation and Parks Committee Chair Pat Gira. “The village is happy to make available another community event at the DogOut Dog Park and hope everyone can join us for a fun time.”

The Pawdemonium is an outdoor obstacle course designed specifically for dogs and their owners which will include mud, water and various dog-friendly obstacles. Pets are to be leashed and well-behaved in order to participate. Owners must walk alongside their pet on the course and be prepared to get messy.

Medals will be awarded to all participants and a free doggie treat will be available for all furry friends. The event is free of charge and registration is not required.  A drawing will be held for one free membership to the dog park valid for the 2017-18 season.

The DogOut Dog Park is a vast, three acre park accommodating dogs of all sizes with separate, fenced-in areas for large and small dogs. Other amenities include drinking fountains for dogs as well as their owners, shade structures, seating and agility equipment in each area.
