The Village of Orland Park Recreation Department will hold an open house at its Cultural Center on Saturday, September 10 from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The Cultural Center is located at 14760 Park Lane.

"The open house is a great way for people to learn more about the different programs the village offers at the Cultural Center," said Trustee Patricia Gira, chair of the village's Recreation and Parks Committee.

Programs offered at the Cultural Center include dance, bagpipes, piano, violin, guitar, foreign languages, chess, drawing, art, oil painting, multi-media art, crafts, holiday programs, computer classes and technology programs.

"We invite everyone to visit the Cultural Center and learn more about the exciting new and returning program opportunities," said Director of Recreation Nancy Flores. "The village prides itself on offering programs that appeal to the very young on up to the mature adult," Flores added.

The Recreation Department's cultural arts program instructors will be on hand to explain their programs and showcase the facility that includes large gathering areas and dance and art studios.

"We have a full schedule of music, dance and art classes available this fall," said Recreation Program Supervisor Stephanie Simpson, who oversees cultural arts for the Recreation Department. "We have outstanding instructors who share their love of the arts with all of our program participants," she added.

Cultural Center programs appear in the Recreation Department's Fall Program Guide and are listed in the recreation area of the village's website at www.orland-park.il.us. Further information about the open house is available by calling the Recreation Department at 708/403-7275.
