Posted on 08/12/2009

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, in cooperation with the Southwest Conference of Mayors, will host a Go To 2040 Workshop on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills. The workshop will be held in Room 1 of the M Building at 9000 West College Parkway.

The workshop will include an interactive process where participants use key pad polling to express preferences about real-world choices that will shape the Go To 2040 Plan and the future of this region.

Residents are invited and encouraged to participate in this process that shapes the future of the region. It is projected that the southwest region will have to accommodate 2.8 million new residents by 2040.

Registration is not required but is appreciated. Call Joey-Lyn Silberhorn at 312/386-8814 or email to jsilberhorn@cmap.illinois.gov to confirm attendance.
