Orland Park Chamber to Host State of the Village Luncheon
Posted on 03/06/2015

The Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce will host Orland Park Mayor Dan McLaughlin at its March 11 luncheon where the mayor will deliver his annual State of the Village Address.

“I enjoy delivering the State of the Village to the chamber because our businesses are an essential part of what makes Orland Park such a great community,” McLaughlin said. “It’s nice to be able to share the village’s many accomplishments of the past year and get feedback from the chamber members,” he added.

The luncheon meeting will be held Wednesday, March 11 from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Elements Conference Center and Banquets at 16245 South LaGrange Road, in Orland Park. The entrance is at the north side of the Homewood Suites building.

Advance reservations are recommended and the event is open to the public.

“I look forward to the mayor speaking,” said Chamber President Heather Warthen of 22nd Century Media. “We all enjoy hearing about what’s been happening in Orland Park and what’s coming up,” she added.

The mayor’s presentation will include an overview of the village’s finances, operations and developments of 2014 along with what the community can look forward to in 2015.

This will be the second year that the chamber hosts the address during a luncheon meeting.

“We had a good response last year when the chamber moved it to a luncheon meeting,” McLaughlin said. “The breakfast meetings held in previous years were hard for people to make. A lot of the chamber members told us that the luncheon was a lot more convenient,” the mayor said.

“We invite everyone to attend the luncheon --- business people and residents alike,” Warthen said. “This is a great opportunity to hear about all that’s happening in the village,” she added.

The mayor’s presentation will be videotaped for airing on the village’s cable television channels, Orland Park Comcast Channel 4 and A T & T U-Verse Channel 99. It will also be available for viewing on the village’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/VillageofOrlandPark.

Tickets are $35 each and reservations are required. Table sponsorships are available.
